This special little girl came to us from a shelter where she was slowly dying from starvation.  She was so upset in the shelter that she didn't eat and lost the will to live.  We took a chance on her and are glad we did.  She probably only had about another week to live.  She's now eating well and has put on the weight that was much needed.  We don't know what her previous circumstances were for sure, but it appears that she is used to being in a home and being the princess.  She doesn't like other dogs but loves people.  She would be great for a senior companion - even though she is about 10 to 12 years old she will most likely live until 17 or 18.  She has had a full dental and a detailed blood panel.  We wanted to make sure she was healthy before adoption, and her blood work shows that.  If you know the breed, tft's are active, loving dogs and even though she's older, Mini loves to run around and play with toys and go for walks.  She shows no signs of arthritis or knee problems that are so common with older, small dogs.  We are so hoping that someone will give this little china doll the loving home she deserves for the rest of her life.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.  We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it. This application has been developed using over 25 years of experience. It helps the adopter and us to make only the beginning of a good match.

WE DO NOT ADOPT OUR DOGS TO HOMES WITH UNALTERED PETS...NO EXCEPTIONS! WHY?  CLICK ON SPAY/NEUTER ON THE LEFT HAND MENU.

In order to adopt one of these wonderful pups please see the side menu under adoption info.
