Miki's new forever home is on the California coast where the weather is more suited to her Eskie coat. She'll have a new brother doggie for a playmate and two humans, one of whom is retired and home all day to keep her busy. Also, they are willing to help her change her annoying habits of chewing on things she's not supposed to have and having potty accidents. It couldn't be more perfect for her!
Miki (mee-kee) means "little" in Inuit (Eskimo) which fits this "little" girl just fine. She's 2 years old, all of 10 lbs, and such a sweetheart. Shy at first, but with love will warm up. She's playful but will calm readily and sit in your lap. She does have the energy of a younger dog, so we'd like someone who could walk her at least once a day and take her places.
She has the Eskie coat, and doesn't shed much except for once a year. She is also "wash and wear" which means you can give her a bath and she drys naturally fluffy. She will require brushing to keep the mats down.
Miki does o.k. with older kids as long as they are respectful and not too intimidating. Also, she is an alpha female who would prefer to be an only dog or with another small male dog.

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids
Special Needs: Miki will need a patient person who is willing to spend the time acclimating her to new things and new people, as she can be very shy and cautious.
