Festus is a 6 month old Golden Doodle (golden retriever/mini poodle) boy who is VERY, VERY active!  Festus would do well in an active household with kids and a stay at home mom or dad.  He is in need of basic training and would benefit from puppy classes.  He weighs about 25 lbs., is very sweet and friendly and happy.   Festus' fur resembles more of the poodle coat than retriever.

YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE, FENCED YARD TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR DOGS.  PARTIAL FENCING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.  Please see side menu for an explanation.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
